Beacon Hill Park é um dos meus cantinhos favoritos em Victoria. É muito bem cuidado e charmoso / Beacon Hill Park is one of my favorite places in Victoria. It is well maintained and charming.

É um lugar perfeito para relaxar e contemplar a natureza. Você pode fazer caminhadas, correr, andar de bicicleta e fazer picnic. / It is a perfect spot to relax and contemplate nature. You can go for a walk, jog, bike ride, or have a picnic.

O parque fica próximo ao centro da cidade. A caminhada do Inner Harbour até Beacon Hill Park leva poucos minutos e é muito agradável. Ande até Belleville Street, passe pelo Museum of Natural History e o Teatro Imax até chegar na Douglas Street. Vire à direita na Douglas Street. Você vai subir uma pequena colina e no topo da colina é o começo do parque. O mesmo possui cerca de 200 hectares, então se você pretende conhecer todo o parque reserve bastante tempo para isso. / The park is near the city center. The walk from the Inner Harbour to Beacon Hill Park takes a few minutes and it is very pleasant. Just walk up Belleville Street past the Museum of Natural History and the Imax Theatre to Douglas Street. Take a right on Douglas Street. You’ll climb a short hill and at the top of that hill is the beginning of Beacon Hill Park. It is about 200 hectares, so if you want to visit the entire park make sure you have enough time for it.

Apesar de estar próximo a região central de Victoria, o parque mantem boa parte da flora nativa, como o cedro vermelho do oeste. Há diversos animais tais como, esquilos, veados, pavões, coelhos, cisnes, patos, garças, entre outros. Para os amantes da fotografia esse lugar vai lhe render belas fotos! / Despite being near the center of Victoria, the park keeps much of its native flora such as the western red cedar. There are several animals such as squirrels, deer, peacocks, rabbits, swans, ducks, herons, among others. For photography lovers this place will allow you to take beautiful pictures!

Beacon Hill Park é lindo em qualquer época do ano. No começo da primavera as cerejeiras florescem deixando algumas partes do parque com tons de rosa. Em meados da primavera e no verão o parque fica repleto de flores das mais diversas variedades. No outono, as folhas das árvores ficam com tons amarelados, laranja e vermelho. / Beacon Hill Park is beautiful any time of year. In the early spring the cherry trees bloom leaving some parts of the park with shades of pink. In mid-spring and summer the park is filled with the most diverse varieties of flowers. In the fall, the leaves of the trees become yellow, orange and red.

Eu gosto de andar sentido sul do parque, mais especificamente sentido Dallas Road porque dali tem-se uma bela vista das Montanhas Olímpicas. / I appreciate walking to the south of the park, more specifically towards Dallas Road because from there you can get a beautiful view of the Olympic Mountains.

O parque tem playground e um Pet zoo para a diversão das crianças. Vários jardins, alguns lagos e campos para praticar esportes. Os banheiros são limpos e bem cuidados. / The park has a playground and a petting zoo for the amusement of children. Several gardens, some lakes,  and sports fields. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained.

No parque há um espaço conhecido como Cameron Bandshell, onde no verão acontecem diversas apresentações de dança, música, e teatro. As mesmas são gratuitas e ocorrem de Junho a Setembro. Clique aqui para ver a programação. / In the park there is a space known as the Cameron Bandshell, where in the summer several dance, theater, and music performances are held.
